BLIND SQL INJECTION PART-1

Blind SQL Injection is a type of the hacker attack.
You can find out many things by using this type of attack,such as usernames,passwrds,email,and other useful data.

Ok,first I'll explain why it's caled blind.
When you do this in most cases you don't know
the name of tables and columns where data is(usernames,passwords,etc.)
So we are just guessing.

Next,thing: how to see find sites that could be vulnerable?
You just go to google and type: inurl:"detail.php?productid="
Or you can use some other Googles dork.
But for this tutorial I used dork above.
I tryed Blind SQL on this site:

When you find a site,you have to check is it
vulnerable.
So,after detail.php?productid= you type ' or -1
but I prefer using '
Usually,you get this response:

That,means website is vulnerable.
So,lets get to work.
First,we need to check the number of columns.
We do it by using command order by [number of columns]
When you type the command you must use + instead space.
And on the end of every command you must to put -- or /*
I will try to see if site has 10 columns.

It has 10 columns,but I tryed to find more columns
and final number of columns is 11.
But what happens if we write insted 11 cols 12 cols?
We get message:

Error performing query: Unknown column '12' in 'order clause'

Next,we know there are 11 columns.
Now we will see how many columns are displaying on the page.
We do that with the command union all select.
It like this:

That means that columns 3,4,5 are displaying.

Now we have to guess the name of the table where
user data are.
How to do that?
Well,after number of columns,you add from+[tablename]

The result we got is same like one from the code above.
That means we got the table name.
And now,we just have to guess the column name.

3 will be changed.
So,insted of 3 we will write in some column name.

We will use concat to display more data instead of 3(we use concat to display username and password.)

Oh,one more thing:
0x3a is replacement for ":"

Gain administrative rights on a computer

For this to work you need physical access to the computer, for example on a library computer. You will need to boot the computer from a CD
To do this, you need to set the computer to change the boot order and start the CD/DVD drive prior to the Hard drive (if it's a dumb terminal then it's a waste of time since there's no "local" admin rights, everything is on the school server so you're screwed, i'll think of a trick later on, stay tuned!)
While booting, press the [delete] button. This will get you in the bios editor. If the editor requires no password then the administrator is a real n00b, since locking the bios is the first thing you should always do on any machine... anyway say it's password protected.
There is a number of ways to remove the BIOS password. There's first of all the option to actually unscrew the tower and pull the motherboard battery out then wait a few seconds and put it back in place, this should reset the password. (IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS MAKE SURE THE COMPUTER IS TURNED OFF AND UNPLUGGED, I TAKE >>>NO<<< RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU GET ELECTROCUTED!! !!!)
My suggestion would be not to do this. Reasons:
1) carrying a screwdriver at school is the easiest part, yet hard if your school has a metal detector
2) unscrewing and opening a computer in a library is a bit too obvious and will draw unwanted attention, don't you think?!?
3) finding the battery is usually a bit hard among all these cables and memories and drivers and cards and the general hell that reigns inside towers
4) i have done it. no1 saw me, i found the battery, everything went well... till i found out i can't screw the damn cover back on

SQL Injection Vulnerabilities in MSSQL

This method of SQL injection in Microsoft SQL involves injecting a query that attempts converting an sql query to an interger value using convert() though fails, resulting in an error message including the result of the SQL query. This allows an attacker to execute SQL queries on a server.

To test whether a variable is vulnerable to this type of injection, insert a ' onto the end of the value of a variable that acts with the db server, for example: index.asp?id=100' if the site is vulnerable to to this type of attack the page should produce an error msg that looks similiar to this:

This allows you to execute sql queries to do tasks such as map out the tables and collumns in the database allowing them to get their hands on all information inside the DB.

convert(int, (select top 1 name from sysobjects where xtype='U' and name>'tablename'))
replacing tablename each time with the table name you get. Say for example from running that query you got a result of the table 'news' you'd run convert(int, (select top 1 name from sysobjects where xtype='U' and name>'news')) this would give you the next table in the database, and so on.

Then it's possible to get the collumns inside a table by using:

convert(int, (select top 1 name from syscolumns where colid=1 and id=(select top 1 id from sysobjects where xtype='U' and name='TABLE')))

obviously replacing TABLE with the table of your choice and colid=1 then colid=2 etc. until all collumns have been found. Of course then with basic SQL knowlege you can extend on this alot.

If the user running the SQL server is 'dbo' (database owner) this opens up alot more possibilities including blind command exection using EXEC. To test whether a server is running under DBO you'd run:

while it's DBO you can use this privilege to execute commands on the server allowing you to do things such as start or stop services, add a user account to the system and even escalate privileges to administrator as the db server is running as sysadmin.

after this, it's pretty useful to check if remote desktop, telnet are running etc.

If not you could start it yourself

This shows how clearly stupid it would be to run your db under 'dbo'.

A few things you can do to prevent this type of SQL attack are filtering out characters such as quote marks - single and double, the semi colon and even slash and backslash and just generally tightening user input.

Have a play around, try .cfm aswell as .asp. There's alot you can do, experiment.
